Little Witch and Spooks

The other day I was organizing Caroline and Elizabeth's closets. Well, to keep them engaged we started pretending that we were characters in one of Caroline's favorite Halloween books, "Little Spooks." Caroline put on her witch costume so she was Little Witch. Elizabeth as always was forced to play the male role Little Spooks and was referred to as "he, him and his." I was Ghoul, and had a very small role which is what I wanted.

Somewhere in Time

Rob has been BEGGING me to watch Somewhere in Time with him. He has watched all my girl movies and has yet to see this one. So, he's on pins and needles. I believe he said something like, "it feels like Christmas," when he brought it in from the mailbox.

There's a little history behind this movie. My mom took Jennifer and me to see Xanadu with Olivia Newton-John. Back in those days they sometimes had double features. Well, Somewhere in Time was playing with Xanadu and I remember my mom calling from a payphone to see if dad would mind if we were gone a little longer. Luckily dad was doing just fine holding down the fort because we were in for one heck of a treat. Somewhere in Time became one of our favorites and Xanadu was kicked to the curb, but we still listened to the record of course.

My house projects

I finally got the piano painted, just don't lift the lid to play, it's not quite perfect nor will it ever be. The front of the piano used to be exposed but Rob fixed that (good job Rob).
This is a fabric that I really love from Ralph Lauren, good job Ralph, good job charging $56.99 a yard.
This is a silk panel from JCPenney, I don't know if it's easy to tell, but they go really well together.
If you look closely you can see a little swatch from Calico Corners, it's a yellow/gold white, wide stripe. The gold matches the gold in the fabric perfectly. I LOVE the idea of a stripe and I love touches of gold. The pillow sets on my couch, I love them. Theses decisions are hard for me because I want to LOVE what I choose.

What do you think?

Happy 6th Anniversary!

Rob and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going to two looooooong weddings this weekend. It was nice because we got to spend a lot of time together.

In honor of our sixth anniversary I thought I would would write six things that I love about Rob.

1. Rob gives 100%. When he gets home from work we're in it together until the kids are in bed and the dishes are done.
2. Rob is a great listener.
3. Rob is a very affectionate father.
4. Rob is always looking for ways to make me happy.
5. Rob is careful with money but is never tight fisted.
6. Rob laughs easy.

And this is why I love being married to Robert Winfield Bond.

Happy Birthday Jek!

When Jessica was a baby she used to share a room with me and Jennifer. It was so much fun because Jek was such a giggler. She would stand up in her crib and Jennifer and I would lunge at her and try and scare her. She would fall back and laugh and laugh. I can remember her blonde wavy hair hitting the mattress and her infectious baby laughter filling up the dark room. Finally my mom or dad would yell, "let her go to sleep!" We loved it! And we would do it over and over.

She had the cutest, rosiest chubby cheeks. I remember one day I asked my mom if I could hold Jek and she said "no" for some reason. Well, I tracked down the brown samsonite suitcase and started packing my bags. I remember treasures like, rocks and dolls filling the suitcase. Clearly mom was frightened because she came into my bedroom and let me hold Jek. I decided to stay. If it wasn't for that I would be bunking with D'Neill (sp) Edwards.

Thanks Jek for all the love and laughter you've brought to my life! You sparkle!

Fabric Swatches

Scada Teal
Say Cypress
Totebag Pinkgrass
Moonlight and Roses

So... I'm trying to shake things up around here. I've been in the mood to decorate. Here are some fabric swatches I have coming. I hope so bad that when I get them I start sobbing because one of them is "perfect" for curtains in the living room. Does anyone have any hope for me?

I have a question, do you think it was right of Rob to ask me to scale down the number of swatches I ordered? HouseFabric.com charges $5 per swatch. I had 15 swatches that I wanted, that would come out to be $75 worth of samples. Why would he ask me to do that? Do you think he has a problem?

Day from heck

I have four baskets like this in my bedroom.
This is what I heard ALL day long!
This is the look on my face when I hear Caroline walking around at 6 am or earlier.

This has been one hard day. Caroline is sick and miserable. She was like stink on monkey. I was the monkey and her sore throat breath was the stink. She was glued to my side all day yelling and crying. I'm exhausted! All I got done today was I ordered fabric swatches for curtains in my living room.
There was a bright spot, this evening John and Kelley came by because, just as they were passing my house James threw-up all over the car. I looked outside just as John was throwing his carseat in our trash can.

Happy Birthday Loves!

I wrote a song a long time ago when Mitch and I were dating it goes like this....

"Loves, loves loves Loves loves loves loves....
Loves, loves loves Loves loves loves loves...
Loves, loves loves Loves loves loves loves...
Loves, loves loves Loves loves loves loves."

It really is beautiful, I'll sing it for you sometime.

What's so great is I think Mitch really likes it.

Mitch and I started dating before my mission. He sent me a letter once on my mission and in a heart he wrote Loves + Kisses. In the letter he told me that he named me Kisses. After my mission and after hair school I moved back home and we would go to Verrazano Pizza and get pizza and a salad and then go to Blockbuster. We would watch a movie or I would watch him play a video game.

Mitch was always so sweet. He's the only person I dared sing in front of in the car. I would always say, "I'm the worst singer..." and Mitch would always say "no, you're a good singer."

I would say "I'm the ugliest sister" Mitch would say something sweet... "no, you're not, you're pretty." (he would say that part very quietly, but I heard it).

Long Live Loves!

Happy Birthday!

I love you!

The Office - Michael: His Own Worst Enemy

Michael Scott, BONUS!

Like Jessica used to say, "ask me a question..."

Ask me a question, tell me a memory anything goes...
Well...almost anything.

I'll go first:

When I lived at home I would take my dates home and tell Jek (in secret) to stay with us. She was SO freaking funny! She would ALWAYS ask EVERYONE to "ask her a question."

I remember she would be talking to someone on the phone and tell the person who was with her that "so and so" wanted to talk to them. So, it worked every freaking time, I would end up on the phone with Jason or whoever else wondering how the heck I fell for it again.

I remember we were at Aunt Mary's and she and Brian O'Connell had a burping contest. His burp lasted about 2 seconds, Jessica's lasted nearly two hours.

Another memory, I remember driving to Parowan with Mitch, Jason, Jek, and Jayne. We had just been through the gorge and "Own Worst Enemy" was blaring! Well, I looked in the backseat and Jason and Mitch were totally letting Jek have it! She was bugging the heck out of 'em. It was definitely the hardest I have ever laughed in my life. I laughed SO hard that I almost started sobbing. INCREDIBLE!

Thanks Jek!

Pig Pig Grows Up

This is a really cute book about a pig named Pig Pig who refuses to grow up. We've got our own Pig Pig I think that's why I like it so much.

"The Great Outdoors"

The great outdoors is brought to you by....

Rhinocort has saved my life and I'm able to go outside and enjoy how beautiful it is. We've been swinging and singing on the glider. Elizabeth crawls all over the yard. They both love the slide, the tramp, the sandbox and the tree swing. I'd take a picture, but Caroline broke the camera.

The "Girls"

I've never seen the baby get more excited, she squealed and laughed when the waiter brought out the cake and sang happy birthday. It was darling!
"dear heavenly father..."
what a cute expression
Me and Caroline at Rob's birthday dinner
Caroline snuck into the fridge and got Rob's birthday cake for her and Elizabeth to share in the playroom, they were so cute I moved them to the kitchen and let them eat the rest.

Caroline has some really cute moments and some not so cute moments. Yesterday she was an angel at the doctors office, the library, and at Noodles and Company. She was darling with Elizabeth, so....I took her to get an ice cream cone when Rob got home from work.

Well, this morning she broke our digital camera. That was definitely not one of her best moments.

That being said there are things that I want to remember.

Her nicknames for Elizabeth are:

Piz (my favorite)

Elizafiz

Seera

Jaylee

Little Lamb (Caroline calls herself Mary)

The other morning we were walking around the temple. I was talking about Moroni and Jesus coming again. She said "I'm trying to be like him."

Elizabeth has been saying some little words. Like, calling Caroline "Piz," she clearly is missing the picture. She nods "no" and then realizes that that's wrong and nods "yes."

She will respond to Dora sometimes like, "Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?" Elizabeth will say "map." (I'm SO proud of myself)

She says "hi" and "hello." If she's talking on the phone she grabs the phone like she knows what she's doing and she turns if off constantly. She also says "hi" or "hello" each time the phone leaves and comes back to her mouth. It's so cute!

She's also saying "shoes," because we just bought her some new ones. Some extra, extra wide shoes. As the saleswoman told me "Dey doan sa-oh shoes this size in bwown oh pink." In other words, your kid will be the one wearing nurses shoes to high school.
